Things To Do In Monmouth This Winter
Just because the cold weather is approaching, does not mean that you have to stay inside all winter. Here are some great ways to spend your winter weekends in and around Monmouth Beach, New Jersey and in Monmouth County.
Take A Walk On The Beach
Yes, you still can take a long, relaxing walk on the beach in the winter. You may see stacks of snow on the sand, a sight that most people never get to see. It’s quite romantic, and a great opportunity to take photos. In the winter, beaches do not charge for access, though some areas might be closed off. Bundle up, because the winds will feel even colder so close to the coast.
Classic Horse and Wagon Rides In Red Bank
On Saturdays through the holiday season, you can take a free horse and wagon ride through town. See the Red Bank website for details and times.
Get A Hot Cocoa
If you don’t like going out in the cold, you probably have never properly experienced the harmony of a warm drink in your hands, keeping you warm from the inside to contrast with the cold air. One of the best places to go is Booskerdoo Fresh Roasted Coffee Co. Their specialty hot cocoas are made with steamed milk, dark chocolate and a splash of espresso. This one is not for the kids!
