Top Beaches In Monmouth County
Everyone loves the beach. The waves can get pretty high, so you’ll always want to attend children while they swim, and be sure to reapply sunblock after going in the water. The great thing about many New Jersey beaches is the boardwalks. There’s arcades and places to eat, along with seaside shops for when you need an extra towel or some gifts for your family back home.
Belmar Beach, Asbury Park, Long Branch and Sandy Hook are the most popular beach destinations in Monmouth County.
Belmar Beach has a great boardwalk, and they have lots of concerts and events throughout the year.
Asbury Park has a boardwalk with a great arcade, places to eat, and most famously their awesome music scene.
Long Branch has a boardwalk with some great hotels and restaurants, plus Long Branch Oceanside Park with an activity center, swimming, playgrounds and more family-friendly activities.
Sandy Hook does not have a boardwalk. Dogs are allowed to play on-leash on the bay side year round.

Keyport Fire Museum is just one of the many fascinating and unique museums in the area. Eatontown Historical Museum, Longstreet Farm and Woodrow Wilson Hall are all great places to visit for families of all ages.
Lighthouses in Monmouth County are fun to visit; you can go inside and learn about the history and workings of each. Sandy Hook, Sea Girt and Twin Lights all have mini museums that are open during the day to visitors.
